Schoolboy rugby reps chosen
The annual Northern versus Southem region school boys' rugby teams played a trial game at Taihape on 26 July to select a Rangitikei team to play in the 64th Quadrangular Tournament, to be held at New Plymouth on 2830 of August. The northern boys won the game comfortably. After the match the following boys were selected: Shaun Hawira, Reece Morrissey, Arnold Henry, Ohakune; Sam Arahanga, Gordon Cribb, Ivan Hall, Johnathon Kui, Damien Manahi, Raetihi; Graham Campbell, Mataroa; Wiremu Tipu, Hamish Farrell, Marton; Mathew .McManaway, Lucan Bartlett, Hunterville; Mason Crowe, Raymond Rolston, Joshua Hall, Mason Fry, Taihape; Bruee Gregory, St Josephs; George Williams, Orautoha.
