Ohakune garden club
The June meeting of the Ohakune Garden Club was held at the home of Lois McQuarrie, Tawhero Street, with 10 members present. President Nita Wilde said the club was very pleased to receive a grant of $150 from the Winstone Pulp International donations committee. The money will be used to purchase display containers for the annual dahlia show. A video on basic tips for . rose growing was shown. The July meeting will take the form of a quiz night. This meeting will be held in the Ohakune Primary School staffroom on Tuesday 25 July at 8pm. There will be prizes, a raffle and supper and the club hopes Raetihi Garden Club members will join in the quiz evening Competitions: Shrub of choice: 1) Fran Frew 2) Lois McQuarrie 3) Fran Frew. Flower of Choice, 1) Gayle Dickison 2) Pran Frew 3) Lois McQuarrie. Foliage or Berries: 1) Fran Frew
