• The former Rangataua School building was brokeninto onThursday 7 July, with copper pipes in both toilet blocks damaged. The offender gained entry by smashing a rear window, before entering the toilet block. The offender was disturbed by a visiting group of students who were using the building for the weekend, and decamped. • Ohakune Police are investigating the theft of a suitcase from the trailer of a bus parked overnight in Ohakune on 5 July. Offenders forced entry into the trailer belonging to the Kiwi
Experience bus company of Auckland, and removed the suitcase that contained a quantity of clothing, sports equipment, compact discs and tapes. • Ohakune Police are investigating the theft of ski gear from the drying room of the Kings Court, situated at Rimu Street, Ohakune. A pair of Rossignol ski gloves, ski jacket and tracksuit were removed overnight on Friday 8 July.
