'Shank's Shetland' sparks a mission...

A beautiful day was on the agenda last Tuesday and two young kids from Raetihi had their Shetland out to give them their buzz for the day rather than use 'Shank's pony'. They said that 'Donk' — that's the name of their pony — gives them hours ofpleasure. Wayne Metekingi, the pony's proud owner, is not short on sharing and was seen taking Anton Edmonds for a trot up town. When asked how oid Donk was Wayne reckoned on about three or four years. It was suggested he go back and ask his dad how to find out a horse's age so Wayne set off on a mission (we'll keep you posted). Photo by Amiria Teki.
