Cemetery dump

Dumping of car bodies and other rubbish at the ex-metal pit near the southern end of the Raetihi cemetery is no longer permitted, advises the Ruapehu District Council. The council reports that of late dumping

rubbish including old car bodies in full public view has got out of control. The council has now cleaned up the area and secured entry to it by putting up a board fence and locked gate.
