'State-of-the-art' sandpit for Waiouru kindy

By

Michele

Monaghan

Both Waioum kindergartens got a face-lift over the weekend with soldiers from the current senior non-commis-sioned officers course putting in their time and effort to plan and then complete community activities. Kenningston Kindergarten playground

received a tidy-up in preparation for the building of a new playground, while Weir Terrace kindergarten now has a new sandpit and climbing tyrenet. The sandpit could be considered state-of-the-art, with poles concreted into place to attach a shade cloth in summer, pulleys and other future developments while the tyres will provide an effective climbing wall for little legs.
