The owners of the Ohakune Hotel, Rick and Vicki Lowe have appointed a manager, Ken Jones, as they have gone to Morrinsville to run a cafe. Ken Jones previously owned and managed The Alfa restaurant in Palmerston North for five years. He intends upgrading Cleches restaurant for more formal evening dining and has updated the menu, which will change seasonally, and the wine list so the best of New Zealand wines are represented and also some French champagnes.
