Dance party to end all Nighttime preview

Joint Force — "OJ", "Slave" and "DLT" — will be joined by special guest Teremoana Rapley with support from Stinky Jim and Mighty Asterix to create "the hottest reggae and hip hop roadshow the North Island has ever seen", which passes through Ohakune this weekend. The first single to be drawn from Joint Force' s new EP entitled One Inch Punch is Static, a "non-stop groove tune" that features a re-mix by Beastie Boys producer Mario Caidato Jr. The video for "Static" has been instantly programmed by MAX TV and Music Nation. Pro--duced by Josh Frizzell, New Zealand' s foremost video producer, 'Static' reveals a new concept in music videos in that the

music is likened to the soundtrack of a feature film. 1995 has been a busy year for all of the One Inch Punch tour artists. On top of lengthy periods spent in the studio, both Joint Force and Teremoana Rapley recently supported M People on their national tour of New Zealand. DLT and Teremoana also shared the stage with Spearhead at their sell-out shows during May in Wellington and Auckland. DLT is billed as New Zealand's premiere hip hop producer. His re-mixes will appear on the next Supergroove EP and he will be releasing an album later this year featuring everybody who's anybody in the New Zealand music biz. Teremoana recently released her EP

'Beautiful People' to rave reviews'in the nation' s music press and is due to follow it up with another single shortly. Stinky Jim has just completed a New York / New Zealand musical collaboration under the Unitone Hi-Fi name. The debut album, called 'Wickedness Increased,' is out in June on the German label Incoming Records. The album also features the sweet vocal talents of Mighty Asterix who has just returned from a recording project in Indonesia. "The 'One Inch Punch' sound system is comprised of essential elements to keep punters danCing all night long in an integrated and nonstop fusion of funky reggae, thrilling soul, stomping hip hop and dance hall. Yes - this is the dance party to end all dance parties and it's coming to your town!" — so says the publicity blurb for this tour.
