Waiouru Senior Reserves lost for the first time for the season against Utiku Old Boys on Saturday 10 June with the final score being 16-8. Utiku scored three penalties and a converted try while Waiouru scored a try and a penalty. Try scorer for Utiku was Mason Stoney (converted by Willie Coburn) while try scorer for W aiouru was Adam Hoffman. Things heated up in the last five minutes with a slight scuffle that was quickly brought under control by referee Brian 'Bully' Chambers. The game was played in Waiouru.
