• Offenders smashed the window of a vehicle in the carpark of the Waimarino Club between 6pm and 10.30pm on Monday 26 May. Stolen from the vehicle were assorted documents, pens and a set of keys. All items with the exception of the keys were recovered. • Police are investigating the theft of property from the Raetihi Fire Station on 31 May 1995. Stolen property included a battery charger, two spot lights, torches and a clock. Stolen from the fire station flat were a television, clock, assorted foodstuffs, a jacket, four shirts and socks. Offenders gained entry via a small toilet louvre window and left via the back door of the station. • On Thursday 8 June 1 995 the Ohakune Police executed a series of search warrants within the Waimarino area. As a result seven persons were to appear in the Ohakune District Court facing drugs, firearms and dishonesty charges. • Offenders entered a Ward Street, Raetihi, holiday home sometime between I June and 6 June 1 995 and used the premises as a 'doss house' during that time. Police believe that possibly four people gained entry to the premises via a louvre window and used bedding and food from the house. Police enquiries are continuing. • A Raetihi youth was arrested on 8 June on numerous charges, including unlawful taking of a motor vehicle, theft of a cell phone, shoplifting and theft of petrol vouchers. He was to appear in the Ohakune District Court on 1 5 June to face charges. • Ohakune Police arrested a Raetihi man for the burglary of Kui Griffins' truck

depot in Alexander Road, Raetihi, on 7 June. Property taken from the premises included a car stereo, tools, clothing and assorted food and beverages. All have since been recovered, • Offenders entered a vehicle parked outside the Raetihi Primary School between 4pm and 6pm on 21 May 1995. A small quantity of cash and a fuel card was taken from the ashtray. • Ohakune Police arrested a local man for possession of cannabis following a search warrant executed at his address last week. • Another local man was arrested by police following the burglary of the Rendezvous Dairy in Goldfinch Street, Ohakune, on 5 June. The offender was forced open a fanlight to gain entry. He was later apprehended by police. He appeared in the Wanganui District Court on Friday 9 June and was remanded to appear in the Ohakune District Court. (See court news, page 14 for reports on court appearances)
