• Police arrested two Auckland men on Sunday 1 1 June and have charged them with the burglary of a ski shop at Owhango. They have also been charged with the theft of a vehicle from Ohakune and appeared in Wanganui Dis-
trict Court yesterday, After committing the burglary the offenders headed towards Ohakune in the stolen car and were pursued by Police. They abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot into bush near Horopito. A Police dog and handler from Wanganui tracked the offenders for five hours. They were eventually located on the roadside walking back to Ohakune. The Police would like to thank residents of the Horopito area who gave their assistance to locating the offenders .• Ohakune Police are irivestigating the burglary of holiday premises situated in Ward Street, Raetihi, that occurred sometime in the past two weeks. Offenders forced open a side window to the house and made an untidy search before leaving with numerous items of property.
