Raetihi Junior Rugby

Raetihi Junior rugby teams travelled to Ohakune in the weekend with some excellent results achieved. Midgets - Raetihi had a good game, but Ohakune proved the better team running out the winners 10-0. The player of the day was Gordon Thomas and the most improved was Hamish Parkinson. Juniors had a excellent game with a 1 5-0 win. Player of the day was Ramon Tutaha and the most improved was Rodney Tetatawhero. Nick Kavangh also contributed to the team win. Intermediate - Raetihi started strongly and played well all day. Raetihi had the advantage of the bigger players which caused problems for the Ohakune defence. The final score being Raetihi 45 - Ohakune 0. Player of the day was Daniel Richards and most improved Anton Edmonds. Seniors - A much more disciplined and drilled team won against Ohakune 38-12. Ivan Hall and Jonathon Kui scored two tries each with Cory Brown and Rangi Ruke scoring one a piece. Rangi also converted four tries. Player of the day was Raymond McDougal and most improved player was Toby Hutchings.
