Powderhorn wedding

Ken Carter and Kay Cottle were the first couple to be married in the new Powderhorn Chateau on Saturday. Ken Carter is a descendent of the Carter family who were a prominent timber milling family in the area, and the Powderhorn' s core is the original Carter Homestead, transported from Ohutu Grazing land near Rangataua. Another interesting parallel, marriage celebrant Peter Berry and his wife Margaret celebrated their wedding anniversary on Saturday and the Berry family were close associates of the Carter milling family of Ohutu.
