Fourth Ruapehu candidate for mayor

Taumarunui councillor June Baker has confirmed she will be standing for mayor in the Ruapehu District Council elections later this year. When mayor Garrick Workman announced in February that he would not be standing again, Mrs Baker told the Bulletin that she would not be making a decision, nor any announcement, until much closer to the elections. However last week she told the Bulletin that she had made up her mind to stand the day following that statement.
