Police arrest January bank robbery suspect
Ohakune Police have arrested and charged an 1 8 year old man with the aggravated robbery of Trustbank Ohakune, on 31 January. The man was charged at Upper Hutt on Friday 19 May. He will be appearing in the Lower Hutt District Court on 6 June. His name was not released. Police enquiries are continuing into the identity of the co-offender. The bank robbery occurred shortly after midday on the Tuesday of 3 1 January, when a Maori male held up staff with a sawn-off shotgun. He escaped with an undisclosed sum of cash with an accomplice in a red Holden Commodore. The vehicle, which had earlier been stolen from
