POLICE FILE
• Police are investigating the theft of property from a locked vehicle at a Ward Sfreet, Raetihi, address overnight on 19 May. A large amount of property including clothing and sports shoes was taken. • Offenders broke into the office building of Horne Brothers overnight on Wednesday 17 May and removed a small quantity of alcohol. A sensor light was disabled, enabling the offenders to enter the building undetected. Police enquiries are continuing. • Police are investigating the burglary of a Seddon Street, Raetihi, property some time on Saturday 20 May. Offenders gained entry via a skylight window. A search of the premises was then conducted, with the offenders helping themselves to food before leaving the address. No other property was stolen. • A home in Islington Street, Raetihi, was broken into sometime between 15-18 May. Offenders switched the power off to the premises before gaining entry via a rear bedroom window. A considerable quantity of property including a Sony radio cassette recorder was removed from the premises. Police enquiries are continuing.
