Ruapehu U21s score 100 points

The Ruapehu Under 21 rugby team hit 100 points on Saturday playing against Hunterville at Ohakune. The final score being 103-10. Tries came thick and fast, the first being scored just one minute into the game and the last one minute from the end. The Ruapehu team completely outplayed Hunterville in all departments and ball retention was up 100 per cent on their last outing. Coach Marty McGarth had 23 for the game on Saturday and managed to give everyone a run. One of the highlights of the game was a haul of five tries to right winger Craig Pye. Marty refused to single out any player saying this was a real team effort and they can be proud of the result of the result. He also gave credit to Hunterville for scoring a very good try and never giving up. Ruapehu player of the day was Kerry Windle.
