West Coast prize for Raetihi quartet

Raetihi resident Des McFadyen recently won a trip for four to the South Island in a nation-wide Tui Beer competition. The return-trip included: a flight from Palmerston North to Christchurch; over-night hotel accommodation; a Tranz Alpine trip to Jackson on the West Coast the following day; a visit to a Tui Brewery; a visit to Hokitika's greenstone region and a white-water rafting spin at Hari Hari. The thrill for Des may not be the rafting trip (he said he'd leave that for the younger mates) but the mere chance to go.
