Waiouru marathon runners
Four runners from Waiouru were among the more than 2300 entrants in the weekend's Fletcher Challenge Marathon in Rotorua. The race is known as New Zealand' s toughest marathon and one of the 10 best in the world. ; r Locals to finish the race included Waiouru runners Nicholas Mannix (3 hours 28 minutes 32 seconds); Zachary Prendergast, 3:28:32; Dolly Lewis, 5:02:43;1^vlargie Dennehy 5:21:17.
