• A eouple of weeks ago I applied for a permit to have a Kent fire installed in a house in Ohakune. I nearly had a fit when told the fee would be $151.88. How can this figure be justified when other centres I phoned charge the following for the same permit: Wanganui $50 (but an increase is on the way), Palmerston North $75, Napier $55, Taihape (Rangitikei) $75, Hawera (South Taranaki) $120?
