Mangatiti Bridge
The area engineer south reported to the Waimarino Community Board at their last meeting that since it was previously discussed several new factors have arisen which may alter the eventual decision regarding the upgrading of the Mangatiti Bridge. The issues being considered are the availability of finance, resource and building consents, and the structural engineer' s report and approval. The issues also require an input from Mr Cornelius and other senior members of the Council's management staff. He stated that progress would be reported back to the board as they become available, however, it was unlikely that any final decision win be made within the next few months.
