Bowls
Last week was the closing day of the Raetihi Bowling club. Rain — buckets of it — didn' t daunt the enthusiasm and support. Teams represented Owhango, Turangi (two teams), Mananui, Wanganui, Ohakune and Raetihi. There was a three-way play-off between the two Turangi teams and the mixed draw team skippered by Lou Fetzer of Ohakune. The
Turangi team skippered by Denis Terangi finally went down to Ohakune. Participants agreed it was a great day which was rounded off with a barbeque.
