Pony club

The King Country Pony Club's dressage team travelled to Hamilton early on Friday 31 March in preparation for the NZPCA Zone 2 dressage final. The final included a team of six from Bay of Plenty, Gisborne Wairoa and Waikato Areas. King Country was unable to field a full team of six with only two riders competing in the senior section. The team consisted of seniors (16-21) - Lisa Cochrane - Oki Doki (Taumarunui), Victoria Duigan - Chamahl (Ohakune); juniors ( 1 5 and under) - Kushla Edgarton - Bolero (Raetihi), Shelly Gotlieb - Ascot (Ohakune), and Hannah Lord - Creme Cracker (Kaitieke) thejuniorreserve who replaced Bridget

Plowman - Little Lucifer (Kaitieke). All members represented their area well amongst very good competition and trainer Judith Simpson said she was pleased with. the results. North Island teams event Easter weekend will be a busy time for seven members of the Waimarino and two members of the Taumarunui and Districts Pony Club when they attend the Timberlands North Island Pony Clubs Teams Event at Tokoroa. It is a One Day Event type competition but held over two days. Dressage and show jumping will be held on Saturday followed by the cross country and presentation on Sunday. Timberlands is a big event with up to 47 teams of a maximum of six riders taking part. The recently announced Waimarino team consists of Amanda Garland - The Shadow, Adrian Fetzer - Silver, Kelly Godfrey - Schnapps, Marni McGregor - Sharebroker, Victoria Duigan - Chamahl, Nicola Smith - Pal-O-Mine, the reserve is Hone Brausch - Saka Son. The Taumarunui & Districts team consists of Hannah Lord - Creme Cracker and Marni Wenn - Highland Guard. What's news? Call Robert, 06-385-8532 and spread it around.
