Waiouru accidents
There was an injury accident in the early hours of Thursday morning in Brooke Street, Waiouru. The driver, who was the sole occupant of the car, collided with a parked vehicle. He was flown by rescue helicopter to Palmerston North Hospital with suspected internal injuries. He was admitted for observation and discharged later thenextday, saidWaiouruConstableMikeMartin. Taihape police attended the accident. There have been a number of minor accidents in the Waiouru area lately. "People don" t seem to appreciate that roads are wet now and don't modify their driving," said Mr Martin.
