Last '94-'95 council contracts let
The Council has awarded a number of contracts recently to nearly complete the programmed works for the 1994/95 year. There are four road works contracts, involving flood damage repairs and bank widening works, left to be awarded. Two of the works are in the National Park Ward and one in the Waimarino Ward. There is also one small sewer renewal contract in Ohakune to be
tendered once land entry agreements are obtained. The works recently awarded include: A new stormwater pipe is to be laid in Tainui Street, Ohakune at the Shannon Street end of the road to join onto the section constructed last year, the Ruapehu District Council has reported.
