Wet brings down rodeo numbers
The weather certainly seemed to have played a big part in keeping the crowds away from the 45th annual Waimarino rodeo on the weekend. Those who braved the inclement weather saw plenty of cowboy and cowgirl action in the arena and the highlight of Saturday had to be young TJ Hohepa's
winning bull-ride in the open event. TJ more than cuts it with the best, in fact he went out and won the bull ride hands down with 69 points. Rodeo fans will be looking forward to more of the same next year. Sunday ' s events had to be rushed through as the weather worsened.
