Raetihi is abuzz pre-rodeo

Friday night was abuzz with entertainment in Raetihi. The Cosmopolitan club was the place for pre-cowboy fun, giving anyone who dared to try their hand on the bucking bull more than a few laughs. The Raetihi Cosmopolitan Club has for the past three to four years hosted the bucking bull fun ride, and for some it may have taken a tad more than a few ales to have a go. Big Ross Healy from Wanganui probably didn't really count on Marg Benny from Raetihi to double-up with him, but double-up she did and from then the challenge was on for others to have a go. Ruapehu Hotel also provided a good night' s entertainment with a karaoke machine. A very popular scene, once again slow to start, but then the old 'Dutch courage' took over and up to the microphone everyone went to try out their raw singing talents. Raetihi it seems is not short of good singers. On Saturday night a karaoke talent quest was held which was won by Steve Grey.
