Ohakune Police attended a burglary of Breckenridge Ski Lodge that occurred sometime over the past three weeks. Offenders gained entry to the premises via a rear service door. Once inside several locked cupboards were jemmied open. A microwave oven, washing machine, video recorder and colour television were stolen. Police enquiries are continuing. • Police are investigating the theft of around $120 in coins from a coin-operated video game machine situated at The Video Shop, Clyde Street, Ohakune, that occurred on Friday. The proprietor left the premises for a short time and returned to find one of the machines vandalised and the cash taken. • Thieves stole a specialised mechanic's tool from the back of a ute parked in a driveway in Arawa Street, Ohakune, ovemight on Thursday 16 April. A Police spokesperson said the tubeless truck pump ring is useless to anyone other than a professional and are appealing for its return. • An unlocked Miro Street, Ohakune, premises was broken into sometime during the past three weeks. Offenders removed fresh putty from a window of the holiday home and removed the glass to gain entry. Police believe that they stayed in the house for several days as food was found to be missing and dishes used. Three sleeping bags, miscellaneous cutlery, pillows and a chopping board were taken. Police enquiries are continuing.
