"What do I do with a Mainstreet Dollar?"

Great bargains and generous discounts are available to all with the use of the Mainstreet Community Dollars during the 'Carnival of Wheels' week in Ohakune from March 20 to 26. Held in conjunction with the 'Greenbottle Round Ruapehu Classic' bike race, the whole town is getting into the spirit of things to make it an extra special time for shoppers as well. Remember to clip out the 'Mainstreet Community Dollars' printed in this edition of the Ruapehu Bulletin, and again in next weeks issue. They can be used in the stores displaying the special posters during the carnival. Some special conditions apply. Sam & Libby will let you 'spend' your special money on any of their 'firsts', although as they already have large discounts on their 'seconds & samples' you are unable to use them for those. At Ohakune TV Electrical you are encouraged to collect as many dollars as you can to take up to 10% off anything instore not already reduced! These are just some of the discounts that will be available in Ohakune during the 'Carnival' week, so remember to cut out your dollars and look for the signs at participating stores.
