Marking their 1 00th year f rugby, past and present nembers of the Ohakune Carioi Rugby and Sports 3ub will converge on the tochfort Park club rooms lis Friday afternoon and vening, 17 March. Registration starts at 2pm nd runs to the official openng by the mayor, Garrick Vorkman, at 7pm. Supper follows at .30pm, also at the lubrooms. Saturday is a full day of ugby, starting at 10.00am vith a game between Rupehu College and Taihape )ollege. At 11.15am the lohemians XV play the ;oresters XV. These two eams will be made up of x-representative players rom the Wanganui and Cing Country unions. At 12.30pm the Ruapehu Jnder 21 Development 'eam plays a Waiouru Army cadet team. A primary school game ollows, refereed by Brian .ochore. The main game, between he Ohakune XV and .an lvitation XV starts at 20pm. The invitation team lcludes names such as erbert from King Couny, Joe Visiaki, the Fijian rop also playing for King ountry, Nesdale from. lanawatu and King Couny half-back Chris Wills, lus various other provinial players from Wanganui - nd King Country. Saturday night i s the Censnnial Dinner at the )hakune Primary School all, starting at 7pm. Guest peaker will. be Brian ochore. Colin Meads and is wife will be there, repssenting the New Zealand ,ugby Football Union. )ther guests will include ie President of the Wananui Rugby Football Unin, Linton Pine, and chairnan Royce Tunbridge. Much of the rest of the vening, as with most of the veekend, will be catching p with old rugby team nates, debating again whether the team today is

better than the team of yesteryear", in the words of centenary committee chair-

man Ken George. Two hundred ex-mem-bers of the club from all

over New Zealand are expected at the reunion, including a player from the

Karioi team of 1919. A barbecue is planned for Sunday, at the clubrooms.
