Kiwi Host courses local again

After a break of several months, the first Kiwi Host course with southern Ruapehu's new tutor, David Squar.es, started last Wednesday at Mr Squires' Raetihi home. The Ruapehu South Business Association (RSBA) had been looking for a lo-cally-based tutor and Mr Squires, who is fairly new to the district, fitted the bill. He qualified as a KiwiHost tutor in 1991 and has been tutoring the programme since then. The course is internationally recognised in customer service training that focuses on communication, customer relations and quality service. "How we relate to cusi tomers and how to improve

relationships that will better one's business," said David. The programme was launched in 1991 and by September 1993, 2000 businesses and many more thousands of New Zealanders had successfully completed the course. "KiwiHost is for people

who need to understand what good customer service is all about and the part they have in giving it," he said. "It also can assist those seeking employment in the service industry." A course will be run on the first Wednesday of each rtionth. Mr Squires can be contacted on 06-385-4399.
