Waiouru road repairs finished
A contractor has recently completed major road repairs at Waiouru. The work was required due to damage caused by heavy trucks using the refuelling stations on local roads adjacent to State Highway One. Remedial work involved cement stabilising of the road pavement and surfacing part of the area with asphaltic concrete. The asphaltic concrete was used in areas where turning trucks caused damage to normal chip seals.
