Five hand-crocheted blankets were presented to the Ohakune Police recently, courtesy of the Waimarino Victim Support group. Sergeant Bob Evans, who accepted the blankets for the Police, said they would be carried in the patrol vehicles for use by victims of vehicle accidents, assaults and the like. Waimarino Victim Support co-ordinator Philippa Treweek, pictured presenting the blankets, said the group was apprecia--tive of the generosity of the Waimarino community. Wool for the blankets was donated by various individuals and fashioned by local people.
