Over 30 people attended a community morning tea to welcome new people to Waiouru last week. Organisers said that the turnout was good from the professionals, but not many new people actually went to the morning tea. Another morning tea will be held in a couple of months designed to attract more newcomers. Professionals that attended the meeting included teachers from the two kindergartens, community health workers, the Wanganui Polytechnic regional co-ordinator and many more. For information on exactly what is available in and around Waiouru call in to the Community Drop-in Centre in Queree Drive orring 3876111 extension 7917or7918.Y our contacts are centre co-ordinator Ali Tamepo and community services officer Michelle Elgar.
