Ruapehu road works

Three sections of State Highway in the Ruapehu area are to be strengthened, widened and their drainage improved over the next two months. Transit New Zealand Regional manager, GrahamTaylor, said a 600-metre section of road on State Highway 47, between National Park and Turangi, just north of the Whakapapa Intake Access Road, is being widened and strengthened. These roadworks will be completed by the end of March. Mr Taylor urges that road users slow down when approaching roadworks in consideration to other motorists and construction workers.
