Sound sale at Raetihi
Last week's Raetihi supplementary ewe sale was very strong and sound with a good number of buyers coming from Hawkes Bay. Williams & Kettle reports their top price was $27.70 from Douglas Prince's property. From Elders, capital stock lambs from Ruapehu Farms fetched $27.20, with male lambs making from $16.00 to $23.50 and ewes $23.00 to $25.50. With the market being quite sound there is a possibility of a futher sale and this will be considered within the next week or so. The cattle sale is scheduled for 16 March.
