POLICE FILE
Ohakune Police would like to speak to the anonymous person who telephoned the Wanganui Police Station on the evening of Wednesday 8 February with information regarding the recent burglary of Ruapehu Farm Supplies at Seddon Street, Raetihi. The public can be assured that information forwarded will be given the utmost confidence, said constable Dave Nimmo. Police are investigating a threatening phone message left on the answerphone of a Shannon Street, Ohakune, resident. A holiday house in Mangawhero Terrace, Ohakune, was broken into on 1 1 February. The offenders forced a window to gain entry then, curiously, broke it. Nothing was taken in the burglary. Thieves shot a hole through an electric fence solar panel before stealing the rest of the unit, worth $250, including warning signs. The theft occurred on a Crotons Road, Raetihi, farm.
