Raetihi Ewe fair brings buoyant results

In spite of the wet slushy conditions last Thursday ' s ewe sale at Raetihi saw quite a large turnout. Auctioneers were pleased with the results, the market being quite buoyant. Results from Williams and Kettle: five year olds Mansons Estate 300 at $29.50, R&H Koorey 21 8 at $28.60, Tanapara Stationn 471 at $28.50. Three pens of lambs sold extremely well at $22.50, $17.50 and $14.70. From Elders: five year olds perrendale averaged $26.00, six year olds perrendale averaged $24.00 From the Willie Chan estate. Capital stock from Greg Ellis estate 2-toothed ewes fetched a top price of $35.00. With Kennedy Bros selling at $34.00 also 2 -toothed.
