Golf tournament
The Waimarino Wines 18 hole gold tournament was held at Turoa Alpine Golf Course on 28 January. Although the field consisted of only 1 1 players the day was enjoyed by all. Results; Silver: 1 st Pauline Mowatt 50, 2nd Norma Cranston. Bronze: 1st Faith Wise 64, 2nd Jackie Williamson 52, 3rd Goldie Fraser 51. Plus 36: 1st Pania Mowatt 51, 2nd Dale knapp 47, 3rd Kura Brown. The comment for the over-all day was this is the only tournament where everyone won a prize. Organisers thanked Waimarino Wines for sponsoring their first tournament and also Brian Dowsett from Bee i Dees who put on a lovely meal, also to the ladies who came (all 11)
