Waiouru drug courier frequency increases

Courier drops from a chemist in Turangi to the Waiouru civilian surgery have been increased to twice daily. Courier arrival times are 10.30am and 3.30pm. Practice administrator Sharon Grant said that the surgery itself can supply most prescription drugs if they are needed urgently. Non-urgent patients have to wait for the courier drop or pick up the prescription themselves at a town with a chemist. The courier system was introduced in December 1994 after the closure of Waiouru' s pharmacy. Patients do not pay courier fees.
