BoT elections this year
School boards of trustees elections are to be held this year, on 3 1 March, the third election since school self management began, in 1989. School campaigns are to run February/March with nominations closing 17 March. The New Zealand School Trustees Association survey shows over half of all trustees intend to stand again. A majority of boards expect to have half old and half new members, which is seen as a healthy mix of experience and fresh ideas. Nation wide there are 2700 schools involved, meaning 21,000 trustee board members.
