Waiouru teachers on the move

By Michele Monaghan With the end of the school year, three teachers from Waiouru Primary School are leaving. Christina Peehi, Maureen Warren and Traceyanne Herewini are all moving on. After one year at the school Mrs Peehi is "off to do some bottling" and other home activities at her home in Karioi. Mrs Warren is retiring after four years at Waiouru Primary and 30 years in teaching. She said

she will help her husband out on their farm just out of Ohakune. Both teachers say they have made themselves available for relieving positions. Miss Herewini has taught at Waiouru Primary for four years and will take up a position at Hoe-o-Tainui School in Ohinewai, in the Waikato. She will also be undertaking university studies in Maori and English.
