Road works

Road resealing work in the Waimarino has been completed by the contractor, the Ruapehu District Council reports. Most of the work was carried out in Ohakune and on the Ohakune Mountain Road. With recent fine weather contractors that have had works suspended for several months have made good progress with completing work. Works that were not completed as at 16 December but were expected soon included Pipiriki Road flood damage (two sites), and Foyle Street, Ohakune (shape correction). The Foyle Street job had been supended in early winter because of difficulties caused by poor weather.
