Upped interest rates add $116,000 to RDC budget
Rising interest rates will have a "very significant effect" on the Ruapehu District Council' s acti vities in future, Council chief executive Cliff Houston said last Friday. He said as they stood at Friday 16 December, the increased interest rates on ex-
isting and new loans would add $1 16,000 to the council' s 1995-1996 annual plan budget. Increases in interests earned on council investments would help some, he added.
