Original blues voice visits

Ronnie Taylor is one of the most unique entertainers you're likely to see any where. Born in Georgia, USA and raised in Ohio, he' s lived and breathed music from the age of five. His first foray into music was through the gospel choir giving him a solid vocal grounding until he decided to turn "professional" at 16. He has lived and worked in almost every state and city in the United States. He possesses an original voice and stage persona which is powerful, soulful and quite unlike anything you have ever heard before, capable of a range from down-home blues to funky soul and R&B. The Midge Marsden Band on their tour to the USA two years ago experienced the "Ronnie Taylor" sensation and decided they would bring Ronnie to New Zealand. This finally happened last summer when Ronnie accompanied the Midge Marsden Band on their "Travelling On" tour. Ronnie returned briefly to the USA before returning to New Zealand to settle in Raglan with his Kiwi wife Jenny. Ronnie has been practising with his new band the "Blues Explosion" during the winter months. They play Cleche' s, Ohakune Hotel, this week.
