Eric Swain from Rotorua was in for a rude shock when he got to work on Friday. Army Engineers working on The Kippenberger Pavilion at the Army Museum in Waiouru decided it was his birthday and tied him up to a pole on SH1. Eric swore black and blue it wasn't his birthday. "You can check my drivers licence," he pleaded to no avail.
