Saturday saw a very disappointing turnout for the Ronnie Stephens Trophy for mixed foursomes — only three teams in the field. The winners were Sue and Merv Rodger with a net 67 seore. In the men's division the response wasn't much better with only five teams. Winners were Phil Gardyne and Murray MacGibbon (net 70.5) run-ners-up Rangi Jones and MikeTeKotia(72.5).Twos were scored by Garry and June, who got 2 (5 & 1 1). Sunday was a cracker day for the visit from Dannevirke Golf Club (a full bus load of golfers). Members played stableford and teams stableford competitions (the pink all game) with the teams comp being taken out by Rangi Jones, S Prenter (D) and B Clay (D), 43 points. The individual competition was won by one of the club's primary school members, Campbell MacGibbon with 43 points, Damon Mitchell and Dave Ahuriri next with 41 each, and 1 1 other prize winners with 36 or better. Twos for Bird, Garry, and R. Simmons, A Walker and J. Roche from Dannevirke. Sunday is the club' s gross shootout and the inaugural Oasis sponsored 'Oasis Open' is on 27 November.
