Ski ploy thwarted

A certain member of the Bulletin team turned 70 over the weekend (guess who?) and decided to avail himself of I the $ 1 .00 per day deal offered by the Turoa Ski Resort to I over-70-year-olds, something he had been Jooking forI ward to for several (70?) years. He turned up at the skifield I on Sunday 13/11 with his dollar, only to find all the ticket I offices closed. The reason? Being the last day of the ski I season Turoa had made it a "ski-for-free" day! So he had I to take his dollar home again.
