Lost Turoa skier found at Mangaehuehu Hut
• A 23-year-old Palmerston North man was reported missing from Turoa on Saturday. A search was undertaken and the man was located at 9.45pm, fit and well, at the Mangaehuehu Hut on the Round the Mountain track, below the Mangaehuehu Glacier, east of the ski field. • Police investigated reports of a group of youths playing rugby in Seddon Street, Raetihi, last Wednesday, abusing motorists. • A Rangataua male was arrested for assaulting a female on Friday last week. He was to appear in the Wanganui court yesterday. • Police would like to hear from anyone who has information about a break-in at Wrighstons Raetihi on Saturday, 4.45am. A small amount of property was taken. • Raetihi 's new murals were targets of four graffiti vandals on Saturday, during daylight hours. Police enquiries are continuing. • A house in Ward Street, Raetihi, was burgled some time in the past three weeks. Taken was one microwave valued at $250. • Overnight Saturday a Hukuroa Road, Raetihi, property was burgled and a video and two pairs of shoes taken.
