Garden notes
Raetihi Garden Club's recent monthly meeting was a visit to Wanganui. A beautiful sunny day dawned as 19 eager ladies boarded a bus bound for Wanganui. The trip included garden visits and lunch at Virginia Lake where cut lunches came out as members discussed the purchases of plants and plans for gardens. With great enthusiasm all boarded 'Mikes' nursery - bound bus' with Helen giving directions. The smile on the nursery 'owner's face, as a bus full of ladies and plants including large trees manoeuvred its way to the entrance, was a delight to see. A plant which was given to the ladies was raffled on the way home and won by Diane. An ice-cream stop at Kakatahi concluded a brilliant day.
